Long Term Contractor - Occupational Health Nurse
| OSRAM SYLVANIA?S world-class Midwest Distribution Center has a challenging opportunity in Versailles, KY for a qualified full or part-time(32-40)hours per week)Occupational Health Nurse.
In this position, you will manage a cost effective occupational health program, provide case management of occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, ensure compliance with company and legislative policies and procedures related to worker health, and participate in other related efforts such as employee training, ergonomic/safety teams, wellness initiatives, and accident investigations.
Person will need to have the ability to work a rotating, flexible schedule to include on-call (minimal)
This is a non-benefitted long term contract position with the opportunity for increased responsibility and potential for permanent employment due to proactive organizational alignment/succession planning.
Requirements: ? Candidates must have a RN with Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing or related field; 2-4 years relevant experience; certification as an Occupational Health Nurse (COHN); certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (Audiometrics and spirometry is preferred); knowledge of Occupational Health (toxicology, workers compensation and health promotion is preferred)
? Ability to interpret policy and data, providing medical expertise and coordinating health promotion activities; working knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act and Family Medical Leave Act, short-term and long-term disability
? MS Office Skills
? Experience in applying safety programs in an industrial plant /warehouse setting required. Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations including OSHA guidelines, company safety /health /environmental manual procedures and training concepts are required with the ability to apply this knowledge in a collaborative fast paced environment
